Original 19thc Civil War Confederate hand written letter dated Aug 13 1863 from a soldier in the Army of Northern Virginia-1st Virginia Cavalry,Co I to his Pa back home in Georgia...its a 4 page letter from Fredeicksburg,Virginia thats fairly easy to read..nice detailed info and interesting content- " Fredericskburg is the most interesting battlefield i have been on Pa-you would like it "..." I have enclosed a Yankee tooth (not here) that i took from a Yankee jawbone..he was buried on the field and saw his blue cloth sticking out of the ground and took out 6 teeth ".." there are a good many Yankees blacking upon the field that i am now writing on ",..its 7 1/2 x 10  and  its clean and readable with normal wear-has original fold lines and creases..looks and displays well and is  guaranteed original and authentic ...Shipping is via USPS in US and overseas…check listing for other period Civil War items including several Confederate documents...always glad to combine on multiple buys when possible
