With over 8,800 proven and reliable miles under its belt, this stunning 1948 Chevrolet 3100 show truck is ready to continue long-hauling and trophy winning wherever you want to take it! Built in 2005, the truck has been carefully shown, drive, and maintained to keep it in top condition, and it is ready to go to a National Event and get entered for a prize RIGHT NOW!!!!! The California Orange Pearl finish is absolutely INCREDIBLE looking, and never fails to elicit waves, thumbs-up, and photos from everyone who sees it! The finish is glassy, slick, and polished to perfection. It has about 11 total blemishes on it from normal use, and they are all shown in the photographs below. The biggest is on the back of the driver side rear fender, and is a scuff about 1 inch by .75 inch from a curb. There is NO body damage, just the scuff. Everything else is a few millimeter in diameter, and doesn't really show at all unless your face was a couple inches away. the custom hand-painted and airbrushed striping on the truck is exceptional in both appearance and condition, and graces the sides, hood, tailgate, and back of the cab. Custom body work is EVERYWHERE, including a 2 inch chop, nosed hood, frenched headlamps, shaved door handles, roll pan, customized fenders, and dropped height bed just to name a few. It is all in metal, and the work is fantastic. The front end was custom-fabricated with chrome-plated bars matching a trimmed and tucked front bumper. Tailgate is seamed in and smoothed, allowing the twin-piston power tonneau cover to be the only access to the bed for security. Bed wood is stunning, and treated/polished to perfection with gleaming stainless slats with hidden hardware holding it in place. The sides and back are trimmed in matching tan interior leather like the cabin, including the customized cover over the extra-large fuel tank allowing for long trips without stopping. Custom tail lamps are built in to the rear valance and look super clean. Glass is all in great condition, and the custom one-piece seamed windshield looks extra clean instead of having a painted or chrome separator. Hidden direct-wired button lowers the driver window for easy access, and the cabin was kept clean and minimal so that is was already ready to show. ProCar buckets were installed on low profile mounts to allow even tall (6'5' so far) folks to fit inside comfortably. They are finished in tan leather, and show wonderfully. Door panels, side window surrounds, kick panels, center console, rear panels, headliner, upper and lower dash, and lower steering column are all covered in the same material giving a clean, uncluttered look to the whole cabin. German weave carpeting covers the floor, and is banded and trimmed with color-matched edge bars. Hidden speakers have only the custom-drilled holes to show where they reside, and the stereo system sounds so good you'll almost want to use it instead of listening to that clean V8 rumble. Dash is fit with a full set of gauges to monitor FUEL/TEMP/OIL PRESSURE/AMPS/ and SPEEDO, alongside the Vintage Air control panel. Three vents, a set of power window switches, and the stereo are the ONLY things that reside inside, and everything looks clean, neat, and ready to show! Under the hood, a fantastic running 350ci V8 was installed that has been all across the Eastern US from Indy to Florida and back again without any issues. It is a mild build, with OEM style exhaust manifolds feeding custom-built mufflers that have a nice mellow rumble when driving, but plenty of bark off the line. It is dressed out beautifully, with a Billet ball-milled air cleaner, valve covers, and pulley mounts, polished alternator and A/C compressor, Billet belt mounts, aluminum radiator, and a chromed power brake reservoir. All of that is tucked neatly into a super clean engine bay, with smoothed firewall and fender liners all painted to match and in show-ready condition. A 350 Turbo transmission was installed, with a mild shift kit. It shifts smoothly and cleanly, and kicks down when you need it. It sends power back to a GM 10-bolt rear fit with 3.73 gearing to let you cruise happily at 65mph and still have ALL the off line power you want for red light shenanigans. Frame is clean, and the rear gets custom support bars and shocks, while the front has a Mustang II setup with shocks. Ride quality is super nice, and it makes long trips a dream without getting sloppy feeling, or wallowing in corners. Power steering and power brakes knock off speed easily, and make the car easy enough to drive that anyone in the family can feel comfortable behind the wheel. It tracks straight down the road at all speeds, and has a very balanced feel that reminds you of being in a modern day car while you drive it. There are no known mechanical, electrical, or functional issues as of the time of this ad, and I have personally driven it over 264 miles without any issues in a mix of highway and in-town traffic. It stays cool, and even waiting to get on the beach on 100 degree temps with the A/C on, it never crested 202. Typically, it stays at 190 and sits there all day. Lights work, gauges work, radio works, power windows work, and power tonneau works. You could take it to a show RIGHT NOW and break necks pulling in before you left with a trophy. If you want an exceptionally nice, SHOW QUALITY and SHOW READY truck, this is the one for you! CALL J.J. AT (941)286-0889
