    Description

Up for sale is my 1956 Chevy 3100, small window, short bed, 4x4, bright green exterior color with matching green and yellow painted frame, floors and components, dark gray cloth interior with yellow accents. This truck is very unique and shows fantastic with a great shine and gets compliments wherever I go with it. Original Florida truck. This truck was a high dollar custom, frame-off build in the mid-90’s, featured in 2 magazines, won 1st place at Super Chevy and made a countrywide marketing tour for Jensen Stereos. Since then, the truck has changed owners twice.
The best attributes of the truck are its unique exterior color, the fantastic custom appointments, chrome and appearance under the hood, the spotless interior and super clean and completely painted undercarriage.
The frame off restoration was done by the prominent “Toy Shop” in Florida, all steel body except for rear roll pan, combination of the original ’56 frame and ’78 GMC Jimmy 4x4, GM 10-bolt front with locking hubs and disc brakes and 12-bolt rear with drum brakes, 3” Superlift springs in the front with stock springs and 3” blocks in the rear, dual Ranchero shocks all the way around, stainless steel and braided brake and fuel lines with a frame mounted master cylinder/ booster and rear mounted 20 gal fuel cell, 33x14.50-15 Mickey Thompson tires on 15x10 M/T Alcoa rims.
Engine is a Chevy 350 with a 383 stroker kit, mild cam, steel crank, World cast iron racing heads, hooker headers dumping into Supertrapp mufflers, custom built turbo 350 transmission and Hurst shifter.
The engine compartment has a custom arched firewall with one piece wheel well panels, Griffin aluminum radiator, Eldebrock chrome intake and carb, chrome alternator, polished aluminum spark plug lumes and valve covers, polished aluminum water pomp and A/C compressor.
The interior is absolutely gorgeous from the seat upholstery to the headliner, dash, door panels and carpet, custom fiberglass headliner and behind the seat to accommodate all stereo components and speakers. (Stereo is not hooked up nor are all the original stereo components present). The dash is a narrowed ’55 Plymouth with white faced Stewart Warner gauges, custom polished aluminum dash controls and A/C vents, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, power windows, auto key fob controlled door unlatching. Battery is mounted in a custom compartment under the passenger seat as well as a custom motorized compartment drawer under the driver’s seat.
The bed has a custom gas filler door, hidden trailer hitch behind the license plate, red oak stained and urethaned bed floor with polished stainless rails, a custom tailgate that has been reversed and is fully functional.
The mechanics of the truck are excellent, shifts and drives great. The chrome and stainless are in unbelievably excellent condition.
The truck does show some signs of age with paint blemishes and blisters in spots, edge of hood was damaged when installing. Overall the truck’s condition is great and worthy of show.
