From a distinguished estate in the Deep South comes this gorgeous, absolutely stunning SET of 6 HAND-PAINTED PORCELAIN DINNER PLATES (measuring 9 5/8 inches in diameter), decorated with WHITE ROSES and with a GOLD GILT RIM around the perimeter. They belonged to Mrs. Carrie Marshall, for whom Carryville, Arkansas, was named and have been in the same family for approximately 100 years.ES = The Erdmann Schlegelmilch factory produced hand-painted porcelain plates between about 1900 and 1938. The date that appears on his stamp (often misread as "1811") is "1861" (the date of the founding of the original factory).

Porcelain Factory was established in Suhl, Thuringia, Germany by Leonard
Schlegelmilch
and his two brothers. The factory was founded in 1861 and named by the brothers in honor of their father, Erdmann. Leonard died in 1899. The business was overtaken by his son Julius Martin. It gradually grew till the beginning of World War I.
