Description
Offered is the Discharge Paper for Union Soldier Charles A. Bean of the Wisconsin Volunteers, Company B of the 30th Regiment. The paper states he was discharged for a condition he had preceding his enlistment as a blacksmith. He was discharged at Fort Ridgley in Minnesota-- a storied location in the North that often escapes the more fabled locations of the war. For the Civil War collector, this piece would be a lovely touchstone on the Union side of the collection. Charles A. Bean and his Captain, Asa B. Swain, can be easily researched. This will be shipped USPS first Class.
