Here's a pretty little potpourri jar, or pomander, that was manufactured by Erdmann Schlegelmilch of Prussia.  It has been hand painted with pink cabbage roses and soft green leaves. The fancy legs, handles and knob are decorated with gold.  The manufacturer's mark on the bottom would indicate that it was made in the 1930s. It is hand signed "McW" by the artist. Often during that time period "blanks" were hand decorated after the piece left the factory. I don't know who "McW" is but they did a fantastic job.
The piece measures 2 3/4" tall at the rim and 4 1/4" tall overall with the knob. It has no chips, nicks, cracks or crazing. There is the slightest bit of gold wear to the gold.

I use padded envelopes, peanuts, bubble wrap, and Styrofoam packaging as necessary to ensure safe arrival. Free pick up in Williston, FL is an option. If you live on the west coast please allow that transit time and costs will be more than average from Florida. I’m happy to combine multiple purchases, paid for at the same time, into one package to save on shipping.
