It has soft bumpers and legs to avoid any any scratches. Internally this 2-port KVM has 2 independently controlled switches: 1) VGA/USB Mouse and Keyboard, 2) USB peripherals that can be shared between 2 computers. For example you can point VGA/Keyboard/Mouse to PC#1 - home PC, while USB hub with mouse jiggler (to prevent inactivity timeout) to PC#2 - work PC. Or you can switch USB Headset between PC#1 and PC#2. It supports full VGA resolution 2048X1152 which is more than HDMI FHD 1080p resolution 1920x1080.
